DAY 1: Welcome to Beijing – The Imperial City of China

Arrive in the bustling capital city of China - Beijing

Meet & greet by our staff and transfer to the hotel and check-in

After a couple of hours of rest, orientation briefing by our tour manager. You may want to take a stroll in the Liulichang Cultural Street market known for its classical Chinese arts. For non-vegetarians, Peking duck is one of the delicacies of this region.

DAY 2: Explore the UNESCO sites of Beijing & more

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Beijing that includes:

Lunch in a local restaurant. Later visit the paper-cutting workshop & take a Hutong rickshaw tour.

One of the immersive ways of experiencing Beijing is through the Hutong rickshaw ride. The ride takes you through the maze-like Hutongs - Beijing's ancient alleyways - that are lined with grey brick walls and wooden doors leading to courtyard homes (Siheyuan). These homes date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, offering a peek into how families lived for centuries. En route, you see Elderly men playing Chinese chess (Xiangqi) or cards under a tree, Women chatting and hanging laundry,Children racing on bicycles & Tiny shops selling steamed buns, dumplings, or candied fruit (Tanghulu).You will also witness the Hutongs & Bell & Drum Towers. The traditional alleyways (hutongs) of Beijing give you a glimpse into local life. The nearby Bell Tower and Drum Tower offer panoramic views and cultural performances.

DAY 4: Visit the Great Wall of China

After breakfast, visit the Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall of China. After about two hours away, you get the first glimpse of the wall snaking across the mountains

The Great Wall of China, begun over 2,000 years ago during the Qin Dynasty, was built to protect the empire from northern invasions and unify its frontiers. Stretching more than 21,000 km, it’s the only man-made structure said to trace the Earth’s curves like a dragon across mountains and deserts.

Time to explore the Great Wall: 2 – 3 hours comfortably (includes walking, photos, cable car, rest stops).

DAY 5: High Speed train from Beijing to Xi'an

This morning after breakfast, journey Xi'an by high speed train from Beijing

The journey takes about five hours. Later check-in at the hotel

In the evening, take a stroll around the ancient Xi'an city wall .

Xi’an’s Walled City, built in 1370 during the Ming dynasty, is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China, stretching 13.7 km with massive watchtowers and gates.

It was originally designed to defend the imperial capital and guide urban planning.
